AWARD WINNING SAILORS

Captain James Duncan and Marie Micheaux definitely have the wind in their sails!
Micheaux, sole crew member, and Captain James Duncan confidently took 3rd place in the Miami - Key Largo race sponsored by the Miami Yacht Club, Miami, FL. 140 boats participated in this event, manned by experienced sailors. Challenged by high winds and seas, the two sailors expertly negotiated this tough sail. Their winning time was approximately 7 hrs and 45 minutes.

AUTHORSHIP NEWS

I'm in negotiations on another book. I'm very excited yet nervous about this one because it's so personal to me. Two close friends encouraged me to pursue this endeavor before they passed away. One was taken by cancer and the other was shot and murdered. In gratitude of their immense belief and support of me, I'm dedicating, I STAND ALONE, to them.

MODELING

I'm in training for a few model shoots in Miami, FL and in the Arizona desert. I've been asked to do a magazine spread, an art series involving water, and an exotic car promotion. Some of these professional photos will be posted on my website.

SUMMER PLANS

As soon as I finish my immediate projects I plan to take time off and travel. My other projects can wait. Recent events in my personal life have prompted me to take some time for myself and reflect on what's important. It's time to reclaim my joy. Life and the people who touch us are what we remember. It seems this is often forgotten. I am also contemplating a move to a different city. I'll see where life takes me.

Like the fool card in the tarot tells us, some times you have to jump into life. Maybe some of the quest of "doing" something profound is more about "being" something profound and how you are interacting with and responsible to others. We'll see. So stay tuned!
